Keeping yourself fit and on a healthy diet throughout your entire life is extremely beneficial to avoid menopause woes and problems. However, if you have not been active and eating balanced meals, don't despair. It may not be too late.

Some women have the expectations that the beginning of menopause will be clearly defined, unfortunately it's not that simple. Even doctors can't be sure if menopause is beginning or not, even after you've fully explained your symptoms.

Menopause can be a mystery, it may occur in some women that are as young as 35 or wait until a woman is over 60 years old before menopause begins. But recognizing the menopause transition will give you a head start on the process!

You may start to experience hot flashes. Keep a portable fan nearby, avoid spicy meals and alcohol, and eat foods high in hormone-balancing phytoestrogens like soy nuts or tofu.

Eat a diet consisting of 50 percent raw foods and take a protein supplement to help stabilize blood sugar. Add blackstrap molasses, broccoli, dandelion greens, kelp, salmon with bones, sardines and white fish to your diet.

Plunging hormone levels can result in changes in your libido and vaginal dryness. For lubrication, squeeze vitamin E from a capsule, then swab it along the vaginal wall.

You could also find yourself having night sweats, and occasional mood swings. Control stress with prayer, yoga, T'ai Chi, and meditation. Take a tepid Epsom salt bath before bed to help sleep better.

Prevent lose of bone mineral density by getting 1,200 mg. of calcium daily with 400 to 800 IU of vitamin D for absorption. Be sure to do weight-bearing exercise.

During perimenopause, which may begin as early as six years before actual menopause, the average women may only experience these symptoms once every few weeks. However, during menopause you'll find these symptoms will most likely occur much more frequently or even everyday.

Get serious about taking care of yourself and you can miss out on the menopause woes!
