Where, oh, Where Has Our Health Gone?

Author: Dr. Leslie Van Romer

Do you ever look around you, I mean really look around you, and wonder, Why are we so sick in this country?

Why do so many of the people you know and love get stricken with cancer, heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, strokes, arthritis, digestive disorders, pain, and/or disability?

Why are so many people, including our children, constantly struggling with their weight?

Why are so many people tired and worn out and feel like they have to have their coffee just to get through the day?

Why do so many people just feel lousy?

Where has happened to our health?

You would think that with all the doctors, drugs, procedures, surgeries, and dollars that we would all look great, feel great, and stay active and vibrant. But, if you just open your eyes and look, you can see the health of so many people spiraling downward and ultimately out of control.

Lets take this one step further and get a little more personal. Look in the mirror. How do you look? How do you feel? Are you carrying around too much weight and have too little energy?

What physical ailments do you have? Or what disease do you dread getting? Are you living your ideal life? Or is your life compromised because your body is compromised?

When you look in the mirror, are you happy with the person looking back at you?

Do you ever ask yourself this question: What are we doing wrong?

Are we just unlucky in this country? Are we doomed to wait around for the grim, very grim, reaper to come and take us away? Do we have some control over our bodies and our health?

Now is the time to ask that very question: What are we doing wrong?

Do you have the guts and the commitment to uncover the truth hidden underneath layers and layers of old thinking, deeply ingrained conditioning, and lifelong habits?

Are you willing to take the action steps necessary to embark upon the journey to a better body, better health, and a better life?

Its time to question. Its time, right now, to take an objective, critical look at the foods that you love to eat, and the foods you put into your body every day.

Do these foods offer you the best nutrition? Are they necessary for the function, health, and fitness of your body as you have been always told? Do the foods you eat promote comfort, high energy, mobility, joy, and longevity?

Which foods do you continually eat that are, in fact, dangerous to your health and your very life?

Do the foods you eat prevent unwanted conditions and diseases, or do the foods you eat inevitably cause pain, disability, premature conditions and diseases, and, yes, even early death?

For all of the contradictions, differing opinions, and confusion there is about the best diet and nutrition for human health, there is no question, none at all that the foods which promote and support health and fitness and prevent diseases are fresh, whole fruits and vegetables.

Have you ever once heard or read that beef, chicken, pork, or cheese prevent cancer and heart disease? Of course not.

Have you ever once heard or read that you can live with optimum health and fitness without eating fruits and vegetables? Of course not.

Then why are we so confused?

The key to high energy, health and fitness is pretty simple. Load up every day on the best foods for human healthfresh whole raw fruits and vegetables, along with whole grains and legumes.

Stay away, far, far, far away, from those foods that rob you of your vitality, your health, and your lifeanimal products, dairy products, manmade products, fat, cholesterol, processed oils, trans fats, processed and refined products, sweet and salty foods, and junk foods and drinks.

Is it worth it to make shifts, big and small, in your diet and life?

Look in the mirror. You decide.
